Had to cut mileage short because I had work...but it's ok because some lady asked me to pretend to be Elsa for her little girl while I was lifeguarding so it was worth it. Anyway, it was tempo today and I already woke up not feeling the best, so by the middle of the tempo I was kinda dying, I ended up averaging a 6:24 for the whole tempo run...can't say I'm happy with that, I'll just have to keep working harder until I can get where I want to be.

High mileage for the first time this season felt ok...I didn't want to run by myself so I took Koda...shoutout to the fuzzy lil guy for sticking with me the whole time, haha he was super tired by the end. I held an average pace of 7:45 counting my slower warm-up, and I felt pretty good the whole time...my legs were a little tired from the tempo yesterday but overall it was good....didn't feel good at all after but during I felt awesome

Felt pretty good today, still kinda getting over how awful I felt after saturday's run, but we held a 8:07/mile pace so that was a good recovery. We ended up grass running at skyridge for a bit, it was so nice there! Basically we decided the infield grass is a fluffy green pillow...with the occasional mushroom growing in it...anyway, it was fantastic. Kneaders after was also pretty great, shoutout to Watson for only getting an orange juice and a peach smoothie, which thoroughly confused our waitress...and myself for that matter.

Today's run was really good, shoutout to Gan for pushing the pace the whole time! I felt ok, which is great considering we went way faster than I did on saturday and I'm not dead now. Warm up mile was around nine minutes, after that we held a solid 7:31/mile for the remaining 8 miles. And we didn't see the Frankenstein duck at the park after so that's also a bonus.

The provo river trail was a wee bit chilly this morning, but it was still super pretty. It was also just a low mileage recovery day so that was way nice, my legs were pretty tired from yesterday and the 8:18/mile pace was very much needed. Did the usual abs and hips after, then made everyone french toast at Gan's...and I had to set up a jump for my car after that so shoutout to Rachel for letting me use her car's battery.

"Easy" run pace today, After a slow mile warm up at dry creek we hit the rail trail. My splits for the rest of our low mileage went like this: 7:35, 7:33, 7:09, 7:02 so it was a pretty solid run....if you couldn't tell, it was slightly uphill out and downhill coming back. Shoutout to Gan for sticking with me and pushing the pace

Well, my morning was crazy, so as I finally headed out on my run at 6pm, it was a balmy 93 degrees....don't worry, I checked the central bank sign when it flashed the time and temperature. Anyway, I ran from my house down to the legacy center and did three miles on the tiny indoor track there...still can't decide if the 24 laps was worth the AC...then ran the toasty two miles back home for a grand total of seven. I averaged a 7:40/mile despite the fact I crossed the road each time I saw sprinklers, and I felt good.

First day of byu xc camp. Did a 2 mile tempo run/race and held 6:15/mile, which placed me in the second group so that was quality.

Fartleks today really pushed me, but I liked them. The last two were a little rough to hang on, but I made it so it's all good.

Trail running today up at camp was pretty quality...and hot. But the stewart falls run was way fun and pretty so that made up for the heat.

Team race today for the last day of camp...my legs were so dead. Ended up only holding a 6:21/mile so that was really rough. Cooling down was pretty rough too. But I think I'm a little more used to the heat, so that's good.

First time running 11 miles, so that was sick. My legs were still a little rough heading out but they loosened up and we ended up negative splitting the whole run...Warm up mile was an 8:54 and last mile was a 7:11 so that was great. Hit kneaders after for some quality recovery food...well actually mostly because it's Brynlee's birthday, so shoutout to her! That's right boys, she can date now.

Well we did the kicker today and I got a pr...my legs still felt wrecked from camp, but I also improved by 15 seconds so not sure how that works...the grass at skyridge after the kicker was quality and we said hi to Jhoan even though he's a potato.

Felt pretty good about the 6min test today, I clocked in at 5:36 for a mile and I was feeling fine...I was able to kick in an extra 130m before my 6mins were up. So pretty much I could've done better but I wasn't used to that kind of speed. Oh well. Shoutout to Saltboy for making Mr. Corbett ask me if I would plan his funeral because he killed it.

Recovery run today, my legs finally weren't so stiff by the last three or four miles. Ended up holding an average pace of 7:59min/mile after a struggle of a warm up and first mile or so. Gotta look forward to that steady state tomorrow...

Steady state run felt good today, even with the heat of late start practice. My group did a 3.5 mile run for our steady state, and I held a 6:33/mile...so not quite where I want to be but I'm closer. Just finished up mileage and did the usual hips and abs after

Well, my watch wouln't turn on this moring and the only person I had to run with today was Ty...who doesn't have a watch but shoutout to him for running with me anyway. So we just hit the MCT starting at highland glenn park, because I knew the turnaround point for a nine mile run out there. So I'm 99% sure I got in 9 miles, and we held a good pace, so we're gonna call it good. I gotta get my watch fixed though...

Really fun course even if the distance was a bit off. Having the first mile downhill definitely helped...if only I could get that time on an official course sometime this season. I guess we'll see. Felt totally fine the whole race, probably could've even pushed it more. Cooled down with the team by doing the course backwards....I then proceeded to die after the cooldown and spent the whole rest of the day sick. Wahoo.

Still not feeling 100% after running myself sick for the second time this month. Cut down the mileage a bit (I'd gone over yesterday anyway) and had Kaylee lead me like a blind woman when it was too sunny...I'd just close my eyes and hold her ponytail so the light wouldn't bother me and trigger another migraine...the things we do to keep running...

The warm up mile turned into a steeple chase thanks to the sprinklers, and the rest of the run was just "easy" pace. Chilled with the second group of guys today because Waston and Gan have abandoned me, and we held a solid 7:30/mile so that was nice, it definitely got me feeling ready for the skyrim tomorrow. Shoutout to Baby Eastmond for being my running buddy today!

Pretty sure the skyrim workout we did today is my new favorite. Held the 600s pretty consistent, my splits were 2:07, 2:07, 2:06, 2:06, 2:03, 2:02...which isn't bad considering the hill at the start. I was in the second group of boys, but I was feeling really good during the workout, so I ended up leading the group for all the sets besides one, so that was cool. Cooled down with the guys on the grass and did the usual abs and hips after.

Just a recovery run, I chilled with the second group of guys again. Pretty toasty with the late start, but we still held a nice 7:44/mile, so not bad considering how sore I am from the skyrim.

Watson and I were up bright and early this morning, but after melting in the heat yesterday, running at 6am felt really nice. The legs were pretty stiff from the last couple days, so it was definitely recovery pace at 8:06/mile. Just the usual abs and hips after.
