After a really stressful day, I decided the best course of action would be to drive up the canyon and take it out on the trails. Hit the trail just off of tibblefork, and started going up. The colors were fantastic, but the trail was a lot steeper than I remembered. It also didn't help I heard the occasional rustling in the trees to my left and right. I could only put up with the never ending incline and my bearanoia for about 1.5 miles before turning back around. In case you were wondering, the rustling was a buck that stared at me for a few minutes while I stared at his sharp little antlers until he bounced away. Once I was off of that trail and still needing 4 miles, I headed up another (and much more open) trail/dirt road. Ran two miles up, then back down, and took an ice bath in a chilly mountain spring whilst trout swam about my toes. Overall, I'd say it was a success.

Fist day at Weber was pretty great, we ran to a pond with a trail around it that they'd marked every 100 on, so that made it pretty convenient to do speed changes. Felt pretty good, it was just super hot. And the only way to get up to the park was a lot of hills so my legs didn't really like that after yesterday. Ran with Michelle from Idaho and cheered on Aubrey and Ali from Davis, so that was sick, plus I didn't even get eaten by one of the hundreds of geese at the pond so I'm calling today a success.

Even though it was just low mileage, my legs felt like lead. Definitely struggled to finish the run today, I think all the hills kinda killed me...but I finished and my legs only felt like 500 pounds each instead of a 1,000 by the end so wahoo. Not even gonna say my ap cuz it was sad.

Running with the girls again was so nice! Shoutout to them for being the best running buddies and listening to my college decision struggles. Legs still weren't feeling the best, but I managed to finish my mileage before school got out and I finished my test so that's a win

Up here at Bob Firman! Pre run of the course was great, I've always liked it. Pre meet felt good, my legs were just a bit tired but that's good considering how wrecked they felt a few days ago. I'm just hyped/nervous for tomorrow.

Race today was spectacular. After some jitters on the start line...which I got out goofing around with the girls (thank goodness they didn't think I was too crazy and just went along with me) I felt really mentally strong the whole time. I finally felt like I had a good kick too! Got myself into 6th place by the end of the race and I almost got my season goal of 17:59.
