| | Fly high run high. It was dark (and very early) when we started, but the sunrise was so amazing! It was one of those moments I really wished I had a camera. Did 6 miles on the MCT, then went to kneaders and met up with Sami my fuzzy lil guy and Mario (shoutout to them cuz I love 'em) for three more miles. My eternal apologies to Team She for whimping out of the french toast eating contest...but a migraine was threatening to show up and all that sugar wasn't helping. Shoutout to Gan and Watson for surpassing my previous bets on how much they could eat...and my condolences to Chuck's stomach and Matt Todd's french toast record.

| | If you didn't know, Idaho State has a very large, very old, very creepy cemetary exactly .75 miles from campus. I was out doing a warm up for the speed workout and I dared myself to run in the cemetary since I was already running by it anyway. Luckily I finished my 2 mile warm up without being attacked by zombies. Hit the ISU track and had a decent speed workout. My 5x400 at 5k pace were very consistent with my splits ranging from 1:24-1:25, the next 3x400 at 2 mile pace were solid ranging from 1:15-1:19, and the last 2x400 weren't quite mile speed at 1:14 and 1:12...I just wasn't used to that pace and I couldn't seem to get my legs around fast enough. Cooled down with a super cool girl named Corbin. Shoutout to ISU for being awesome.

| | Medium mileage with the girls. Mile speed changes felt good, only a little stiff from yesterday. The rest of the run was solid, just cruised through the miles. Shoutout to Saltboy for being able to run again, he's hecka fast.

| | I'm happy to announce that none of us were attacked by clowns on the trail as the girls and I did an easy low mileage run. I did, however, get splashed multiple times by the infamous puddle jumpers (Gan and Mario) so pretty much I'd almost prefer the clowns.

| | Pre-meet felt ok, legs are a little tired but not bad. Wahoo for low mileage and fall weather.

Regionals (3 Miles) 00:17:45, Place overall: 2 | | I'm not sure what to think about this race. I wasn't in a great place mentally heading in. I'm still happy with my place and ok with my time, but I know I could've done better. In the moment everything just seemed to hurt more than usual...my legs felt more tired at the 2 mile mark, I felt like chucking a half mile out, and I just wasn't able reach that focused zone I was able to find at Bob Firman. I finished much farther behind Kate Hunter (shoutout to her for winning) than I have in previous races. But I'm overall satisfied I guess. Shoutout to the girls because we're going to STATE!

| | I miss old Lehi. We ran one of our usual routes from the good ol' days and it was great. The weather was a perfect fall crisp. My legs felt way better than they should for racing region yesterday though. But we're still going to state (wahoo!) so I guess I should be grateful we're going and I can head into this week not wrecked.

| | 'Easy' pace run today. I forgot my watch (smh @ me) so I don't know my exact average pace, but probably somewhere in the 7:30-7:40 range so it was all good. I felt ok, not great but not bad. End of term and state coming up has got me stressing out, but it'll be ok once it's all over. Abs and hips (Gan made me do hips for my 1%)

| | Recovery run. I felt a little rough the whole time, I just never found that rhythm I normally fall into--my legs felt too stiff. But it was recovery so it didn't matter too much. Abs and rolling out after.

| | Whistle hills definitely pushed me, but it was the las speedworkout before state so wahoo. Recovery run after was good, I brought back red leaves for everyone. Shoutout to Saltboy for not dying.

State Championships (3 Miles) 00:18:05, Place overall: 3 | | I wanted top three. So that's what I got. Went into state feeling pretty relaxed, did the normal warm up and headed over to the line. Stuck with Kate Hunter and Julie the first two miles. Kate went the last mile, I tried to stay with her and Julie kinda fell back...until the last half mile in which she passed me and Kate so shoutout to her. Outkicked some girl tryna steal my 3rd place spot and proceeded to die. Still feeling wrecked but happy. Shoutout to the girls because we took fourth and they're all hecka fast, I love 'em all. And shoutout to the boys for taking fifth because they killed it for the circumstances they've been under. Basically I love my team.

| | Well I experienced the jail trail for the first time today so wahoo for that. After I hiked to silver lake with some of the team and it was so cold we ended up running down a lot of the trail. (I won)

| | My back has been super tight the last few days. Hit the MCT to smiths anyway and did a mile below low just to be safe...and to make it to my wisdom teeth consultation on time. Wahoo.
