Legs were pretty tired, and the rest of the girls wanted a semi-cross train day so I did that with them. Ran 3 on the road, did a grass mile by myself while I waited for more bikes to open up, and then finished with a bike workout. My quads were really painful to roll out after, but I made sure I kept at it for 20mins. Abs and hips, then off to my last day of work so wahoo for that.

Nailed pre meet today with a 3:02, my legs felt a bit tired but much better than yesterday. Finished up mileage nice and easy...forgot my watch though so that was sad. Did abs and hips after, then rolled out and ice bathed.

Race today went really well, even though I was a bit sick. I stuck with Kate Hunter and the girl from springville (smh I forgot her name) for the first 2.5 miles, then Kate started gapping and springville tried to go with her and I was kinda dying but I didn't let springville get too far. Overall I'm satisfied with the race, it was a good pr and it hurt, but I just need to work on that last half mile, as usual. Shoutout to the girls for winning second overall, they're the greatest.

Well I ran with the USU team today, and they seem pretty great. Got a good 7 miles and some abs in before the migraine hit. Stayed in bed the rest of the day so that sucked.

Luckily I felt good enough to run this morning,..but not good enough for the workout, so Jamie said I'll be doing it tomorrow. Wahoo. Took it nice and easy at a 8:45/mile ap. Logan is a bit cold but it honestly just felt so nice, plus it's gorgeous, so totally worth the chilly air. Touring the campus was awesome today and even though I was sick, I still really enjoyed it up here. I was genuiniely sad to leave.

So...I mostly did the workout by myself...shoutout to Gill for pacing me. It was supposed to be 6x1,000 at goal 5k pace (5:40-6:00) straight into a 200 jog followed by a 200 sprint to finish one set...but I thanks to my cold I couldn't breathe, so Jamie only had me do 5. I stayed within the range, leaning towards the faster end until the last one...it was so hard to stay mentally strong, I kinda lost it today. Cool down after was rough, the inside of my left leg felt really tight...it still does, even after an ice bath and I'm going to roll it out, hopefully that'll help.

Race today wasn't quite what I wanted. Time was still decent, but I know I could've placed better if my legs had felt fresher.

whistle hills today felt pretty good...well they were hard of course, but it was a good workout. Tried to really work on my kick. Cooled down after. Did abs, rolled out, and ice bathed.

Been feeling a bit headachy all day, so I opted to swap my recovery days and I'm going to do the kicker tomorrow. Took it easy and did the usual abs, roll out, and ice bath after.

Felt really strong today. I was just focused on the task and I wasn't afraid to push the pace even though I was alone. I pr'd by 18 seconds with a 9:24, which is a massive improvement. Cooled down and did abs, hips, roll out, and ice bath after.

Went a bit over mileage with the mile repeat workout but that's fine. Felt good despite doing the kicker yesterday. Mile splits as follows: 6:05, 5:56, 5:47, 5:43. I wish I could've gone a bit faster on the last one, but at least I still got faster and not slower so wahoo. Half mile cooldown after and the usual abs, hips, and ice.

Well, last day of awesome week. I'd say the ladders on the hill went good, seeing that my 400 and 500 splits got a little faster each time around. Breakfast after was much needed, and the rest of the day was fantastic thanks to xc homecoming!

After a really stressful day, I decided the best course of action would be to drive up the canyon and take it out on the trails. Hit the trail just off of tibblefork, and started going up. The colors were fantastic, but the trail was a lot steeper than I remembered. It also didn't help I heard the occasional rustling in the trees to my left and right. I could only put up with the never ending incline and my bearanoia for about 1.5 miles before turning back around. In case you were wondering, the rustling was a buck that stared at me for a few minutes while I stared at his sharp little antlers until he bounced away. Once I was off of that trail and still needing 4 miles, I headed up another (and much more open) trail/dirt road. Ran two miles up, then back down, and took an ice bath in a chilly mountain spring whilst trout swam about my toes. Overall, I'd say it was a success.

Fist day at Weber was pretty great, we ran to a pond with a trail around it that they'd marked every 100 on, so that made it pretty convenient to do speed changes. Felt pretty good, it was just super hot. And the only way to get up to the park was a lot of hills so my legs didn't really like that after yesterday. Ran with Michelle from Idaho and cheered on Aubrey and Ali from Davis, so that was sick, plus I didn't even get eaten by one of the hundreds of geese at the pond so I'm calling today a success.

Even though it was just low mileage, my legs felt like lead. Definitely struggled to finish the run today, I think all the hills kinda killed me...but I finished and my legs only felt like 500 pounds each instead of a 1,000 by the end so wahoo. Not even gonna say my ap cuz it was sad.

Running with the girls again was so nice! Shoutout to them for being the best running buddies and listening to my college decision struggles. Legs still weren't feeling the best, but I managed to finish my mileage before school got out and I finished my test so that's a win

Up here at Bob Firman! Pre run of the course was great, I've always liked it. Pre meet felt good, my legs were just a bit tired but that's good considering how wrecked they felt a few days ago. I'm just hyped/nervous for tomorrow.

Race today was spectacular. After some jitters on the start line...which I got out goofing around with the girls (thank goodness they didn't think I was too crazy and just went along with me) I felt really mentally strong the whole time. I finally felt like I had a good kick too! Got myself into 6th place by the end of the race and I almost got my season goal of 17:59.

Forgot my watch but I know I at least ran 7 miles and it was recovery pace, but probably a bit on the fast end of recovery. Right hamstring felt pretty tight the whole time.

Did the 6 minute test today, and I got about 45m further than last time so that was good, especially with how tired my legs were feeling. My right hamstring was super tight after so I did a mile on the grass and that loosened it up so I went back out on the road to finish up. Abs after...and I'm really missing ice bathing. R.I.P. to the spring of living waters.

Legs were feeling a bit rough today but I still got my splits down in the workout so that was good. Workout was a 200, 400 at mile pace, 800, 1600, 800 at goal 5k, then 400, 200 at mile again. Felt super dead after, but I was luckily able to survive a cooldown. Abs and ice after.

Legs were basically wrecked. Mentally I felt ok, I just had to make myself not really care how far ahead of me Juile was and keep telling myself that I can catch her in races that matter (sorry Julie) shoutout to her for winning by a whole bunch. Mentally I felt ok, I was just determined to stay in 2nd and I did. Pretty sure I could barely walk after so don't ask how I ran five more miles after the race...because I honestly have no idea.
